Maya Rams Murthy, MPH, RD, is the CEO and Co-founder of Ahara, with nearly two decades of deep expertise in public health nutrition, clinical nutrition at Johns Hopkins Medicine, and food security.
As a Registered Dietitian, Maya has led initiatives that amplify community voices and foster resilience through meaningful, cross-sector collaboration. Before founding Ahara, she led the development of community food programs for traditionally marginalized populations as Vice President of Programs at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley—one of the largest charitable food organizations in the U.S.—where she improved food access and nutrition security for more than 500,000 people monthly. In addition, Maya is a guest lecturer at Stanford University and a published researcher on food insecurity, chronic disease, and nutrition.
Krista Yoder, MPH, RD, PMP, PBA, FAND is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Ahara, a Registered Dietitian, business analyst, and social entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in nutrition and public health.
With a background in health policy, she plays a key role in advancing the integration of food into healthcare. She serves on the board of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she is also a Fellow. Yoder has deep expertise in creating and leading health solution businesses prior to Ahara including as the Founder and Executive Director of Family Food and Founder and CEO of Corporate Wellness Nutrition which was acquired by Ramp Health where she served as Chief Wellbeing Services Officer. Her research in the areas of food and nutrition, health insurance plan design, nutrition policy, health equity, corporate wellness, and pediatric nutrition are published in multiple scientific journals.
